Eyelid Surgery San Diego
Eyelid Surgery, also known as eyelid lift or blepharoplasty, can be performed on upper eyelids and/or lower eyelids. Upper eyelid surgery removes excessive skin covering the natural fold of the upper lid, lower eyelid surgery removes puffiness and wrinkles that make you look tired and aged. Sometimes appropriate amounts of fat may also be removed.
Am I a good candidate for Eyelid Surgery?
If excessive skin on the upper eyelid impairs your vision or makes it difficult for you to apply your makeup evenly, or you just look tired and aged, then you may be a good candidate for upper eyelid surgery.
If you have excess skin, puffy bags, dark circles, wrinkles, or deep grooves under the eye that you can’t get rid of with eye creams, then you may be a good candidate for lower eyelid surgery.
What will my eyelid surgery scars look like?
For the upper eyelids, Dr. Sadrian marks the natural folds and creases of your lids so that the scars are as hidden as possible. Expert surgeons, such as Dr. Sadrian, use tiny sutures so that the scars are practically invisible.
Lower eyelids can be done in two ways. To reduce saggy skin and wrinkles, Dr. Sadrian makes a very tiny incision along the lash line. Because it is under the lashes and so small, the scar is very minute. If you are removing puffiness under the eye, then he may decide to make an incision inside the lower lid, making it completely unseen.
Unseen scars can only happen when you have your eyelid surgery with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
