If you have concerns about breast revision, we offer answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the procedure.
What is symmastia?
Symmastia is a condition in which the breasts cross the midline of the body and converge; there is no cleavage. It may be congenital or caused by surgical process. It is more likely to occur in women with thinner breast tissue.
What is bottoming out?
Bottoming out occurs when the implant slides down along the chest cavity. The result is that the fullness of the implant is abnormally low, and the nipple is abnormally high in relation to it. There are several different surgical options for its correction, including the use of mesh-like substances for support & contour, which would be part of your breast revision procedure in La Jolla.
